Bury Council’s Legal Services Team is looking to recruit a Team Leader for its Social Care and Education team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a wide spectrum social care work and of dealing with complex matters associated with children’s and/or adult care. You will be managing a team working on some of the most sensitive, challenging, yet rewarding cases, in public social care, mental health, SEN and education matters, as well as carrying your own small caseload of high profile and complex cases
Job Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and develop a highly skilled team of professionals is required, as well as the ability to advise on complex areas of law, providing verbal and written advice, guidance and support to clients and lawyers within the team. Good organizational and time management skills, as well as an ability to work within a politically sensitive environment are also required. You will have the ability to work flexibly and have the benefit of an effective remote working-practice model, as well as having the option to be more office based.
