Job Description:

The role will involve extensive engagement with other parts of Government Security Group, as well as across the whole of the security function, especially GSeCs, National Technical Authorities, and Security Advisers in departments/agencies.  The ambition is for the reach of common good services to extend beyond Whitehall departments to more Arms Length Bodies and even the wider public sector, so the postholder will play a critical role in developing and enhancing this engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understanding the shared services ecosystem and ensuring the GSeCs continue to develop in line with Government Security Function strategies while contributing to the continuous improvement of the GSeCs;
• Supporting the team in the development and implementation of a strategy for the GSeCs as a cross-Government Security shared service.
• Supporting the team with leading on engagement with GSeC customer organisations (currently around 60), including through customer surveys, engagement sessions, and events;
• Supporting implementation of the GSeCs communications plan, including coordination of key communications products and events;
• Supporting the team with developing and implementing an engagement plan for increasing the customer base for FY22/23;

Job Requirements:

• Experience in communications is desirable
• Experience in security and/or shared services delivery is highly desirable
• Understanding of complex ecosystems in government or industry
• Experience and demonstrable skills in building effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
