Job Description:
The postholder is responsible for developing and driving the learning and delivery strategy for Contract Management training across Central Government and the Public Sector within the Government Commercial Function.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the delivery of L&D partner contracts that support the service and goods of the delivery of Contract Management learning
- Accountability for yearly Contract Management Learning and Development budget and forecasting, with delegated authority for spend across the workstrand
- Leading on high priority areas of work on behalf of Directors and Boards, focused on capability building
- Working with Directors and Deputy Directors to provide overall leadership and development of the Contract Management L&D strategy
- Line management of a team of Grade 7 Learning and Development Cohort Managers
- Partnering with senior leaders to establish departmental learning needs and developing comprehensive learning strategies in relation to Contract Management
- Evaluating and driving improvements across the learning and development programmes end-to-end, from design to delivery of blended learning mechanisms
Job Requirements:
- Able to identify business needs and move quickly between high-level design, program management and delivery
- Significant experience of stakeholder management at all levels and the ability to establish professional credibility quickly
- Ability to set plans at a strategic level, incorporating demanding timescales and to manage these plans through to successful completion
- Experience of measuring the effectiveness of learning interventions and providing summary metrics (e.g. return on investment)
- Familiar with learning and development tools and experience with emerging technologies
- Able to develop and implement solutions to operationalise the strategy in an agile fashion
