The Category Excellence Capability Leader, as a key member of the Supplier Management and Category Management COE (Center of Excellence), is accountable for driving the further enhancement of these core procurement capabilities in an end-to-end environment, partnering closely with procurement category champions and bringing in leading external practices
Job Responsibilities:
- Accountable to ensure consistent development and deployment of a category strategy approach across category teams;
- Be a champion for Category Strategy and supports category teams with their Category Strategy development needs;
- Supports and coordinates flawless execution of go to market events and remove roadblocks when needed;
- Own a program (s) and drive program management of key enablers within the CX service offering;
- Influences teams of procurement professionals following examples of a Credo leader
- Support all CX enterprise capability building activities via workshops and coaching through category management processes and methodologies;
- Accountable for the process development and deployment of any solutions that build functional capabilities to support the enterprise and align with the CX road map;
- Drives innovation as a standard within category teams;
- Drives greater collaboration between category teams, other functional partners, and internal / external resources
- Collaborates across the broader corporate tier teams (Strategy and Portfolio Management, Risk, GSDI, Process & Business Technology) to drive optimal service delivery and a seamless experience to the category teams
- Ensures the successful delivery of highly complex cross-functional projects that are led by CX (e.g. E2E e-sourcing, Category Strategy, and SEI process and technology, Global Supplier Awards initiative, among others)
- Builds and develops collaborative partnerships with Global Category / Family Leads to develop excellent business impact strategies, Category Strategy management strategies, and strategy deployment go to market solutions
- Accountable for the support of the categories in go to market engagements;
- Accountable for setting and deploying the enterprise Category Strategy strategic approach and any technology solutions required to operationalize the process and enable optimal end user experience;
- Develops and executes change & communication strategy for the entire procurement team to drive program implementation and adoption utilizing various channels (newsletters, external speakers events. etc)
- Champion the use of eSourcing technology and the development of new digital sourcing solutions;
- Manages with CREDO at the center of decision making. Be ethical, transparent and demonstrate strong integrity
- Continue to evolve metrics to ensure CX programs are achieving the targets and outcomes along capability development for procurement category teams;
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must be highly skilled at collaboration and comfortable working in a matrix organization. The position requires high degree of problem-solving and communication skills/abilities.
- Proven results in leading cross-culture teams, and strong enterprise/business acumen
- Sense of urgency and prudent risk-taking
- Strong user / professional level comfort with functional technology platforms (e-procurement), proficient user of MS office
- Intellectual curiosity & Learning Agility
- Experience working in an international, cross-functional and multiple stake-holder environment
- Preferably Project Management skills and experience in working in dispersed or virtual teams
- University Degree (Economics / Business / Finance / Science / Engineering) or equivalent education
- Highly strategic thinker with the proven ability to deliver / execute
- Excellent communication, engagement and collaboration skills are required.
- 10+ year experience in Procurement and Category management is required
- Big picture orientation + attention to detail
