Job Responsibilities:

  • Support proposal development and other new business development activities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries (Financial Services, Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Telecom/Media preferred) to assist companies in meeting their climate, sustainability and ESG goals in response to the complex and evolving regulatory and business environment, risks and opportunities associated with Corporate Sustainability, Climate-related Risks, Decarbonization, and ESG, with a focus on climate data, reporting and technology
  • Assist with the review and development of sustainability/ESG programs and related reporting, such as gap analysis, metric/KPI identification (in alignment with common sustainability/ESG reporting standards) and definition of business requirements for reporting (internal and external)
  • Work with engagement teams to perform fieldwork, including data collection, analysis, and work paper documentation; prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentation of observations and recommendations
  • Support client engagements and workstreams related to operational analysis, sustainability/ESG strategy, decarbonization, methods, framework and implementation of related processes and software tools to support clients achieve sustainability/ESG objectives
  • Apply well-developed consulting skills and in-depth industry and functional knowledge in the definition and implementation of recommendations related to sustainability/ESG programs

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to travel at least 50%
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as SASB, TCFD, GRI, CDP (experience working with the frameworks a plus); excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong research and analytical skills
  • Deep functional knowledge in three or more of the following areas: GHG accounting methodologies, digital transformation, renewables, emerging clean energy technologies, SBTIs, carbon credits markets and trading, renewable energy certificates/emission reduction certificates (LEED, CEA)

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum three years of recent relevant professional experience from a management consultancy, in-house corporate sustainability roles, manufacturing operations or other relevant private-sector roles with a sustainability or climate-related services focus, preferably with demonstrated emerging technology or ESG or climate knowledge and experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of, GHG emissions accounting, climate risk assessment and climate scenario analysis a plus; experience with technology implementation, data engineering, and advanced data analytics is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in industrial engineering, environmental engineering, economics, sustainability, climate science, or related with evidence of relevant course work/study; MBA or master’s degree in a related field is preferred
