Job Description:

As a Senior Data Engineer on the Enterprise Data & Analytics team, you will drive work to completion with hands-on development responsibilities, and partner with the Engineering Manager to provide thought leadership and innovation with the work you’re doing. In this role, you will be part of an agile scrum team, working closely with the Product Manager, Lead Engineer, and other team members that will drive to deliver data and analytics capabilities. You will collaborate with business partners and other technology solution delivery, architecture, and platform teams. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide production debut support and resolutions for customer production issues, including testing for upgrades for HANA, BW HANA and Business object tools.
• Develop BW HANA, Native HANA, Business Objects Artifacts /Objects to support business users; lead backlog of requests for enhancements
• Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues
• Analyze and profile data for designing scalable solutions
• Collaboratively review design, code, test plans and dataset implementation performed by other data engineers in support of maintaining data engineering standards
• Solve data issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues
• Clean, prepare and optimize data for ingestion and consumption
• Participate in an Agile / Scrum methodology to deliver high – quality software releases every 2 weeks through Sprints
• Build continuous integration, test-driven development and production deployment frameworks
• Architecture, Design and Integration with HANA, BW HANA, Business object tools using layered scalable architecture++ (LSA++) with buildup of hybrid Analytic/BI application.
• Design and build reusable components, frameworks and libraries at scale to support analytics products
• Collaborate on the implementation of new data management projects and re-structure of the current data architecture
• Identify and tackle issues concerning data management to improve data quality
• Develop architecture and design patterns to process and store high volume data sets
• Implement automated workflows and routines using workflow scheduling tools
• Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and Technology partners

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency of data structures and algorithms
• Strong comprehension of solution and technical design
• Has a strong problem solving and analytical mentality
• Able to learn new technologies, languages, and frameworks
• Experience working with Agile teams and methodologies in an analytics setting
• Experience designing data solutions using SAP BW and SAP HANA
• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience

Qualification & Experience:

• MS/BS in Computer Science, or related technical subject area, or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
• Experience working on CI/CD processes and source control tools such as GitHub and related dev processes
• Passion for data solutions and willing to pick up new programming languages, technologies, and frameworks
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Proven track record to partner with teams in solving complex problems by taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
• Effective communication skills (with team members, the business, and in code)
• Strong experience in coding languages like Python, Scala & Java
• Expertise building realtime streaming data pipelines
• 3+ years of experience in cloud environments like AWS (Serverless technologies like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, NoSQL like Dynamo, EMR & S3)
• 5+ years of relevant experience with detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools.
• 3+ years of experience in Big Data stack environments (Hadoop, SPARK, Hive & Delta Lake)
• Experience in building lambda, kappa, microservice and batch architecture
• Experience with relational and non relational SQL
• Experience designing data solutions using SAP BW and SAP HANA
