We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the Global Sustainability team to drive strategic finance support for Sustainable Product Creation, Sustainable Innovation, and Sustainable Packaging. You will be responsible for financial modeling, scenario planning, process creation & optimization, sustainable product financial reporting, and influencing cross functional leaders. You should have a passion for Sustainability and experience in financial analysis, ability to build deep cross-functional relationships, strong intellectual curiosity, and the ability to execute with autonomy in a constantly evolving environment!
To be successful in this role, you’ll use your analytical skills to bring insights to life in an impactful way. This will include actively synthesizing complex data sets, developing a point of view, crafting a clear narrative, and socializing insights, trends, and opportunities with cross-functional business partners to drive action. We need a self-starter who can navigate ambiguous situations, and uses great interpersonal skills to build tight-knit relationships with a diverse set of partners across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will deliver robust financial and analytical support for enterprise-wide Sustainability Programs, with a sharp focus on Product, Innovation, and Packaging.
The Global Sustainability Finance team partners cross-functionally to accelerate this critical work by translating key initiatives into financial implications and integrating them into short and long-term planning. This team manages an active portfolio of initiatives including strategy development, prioritization, and creating insightful reporting.
Key workstreams include managing Move To Zero reporting and analysis across Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories, scenario planning for Environmentally Preferred Material conversion, and leading business case development for Sustainable Packaging projects. In addition, you will provide important support for long-range and annual planning, as well as seasonal product execution.
You will report directly to the Global Sustainability Finance Director within the Consumer, Product & Global Operations Finance Organization. You will provide critical support to Global Sustainable Product, Responsible Supply Chain, Sustainable Innovation, and Marketplace leaders. You will partner closely with finance stakeholders across the organization, including Global Product & Merchandising Finance, Global Supply Chain Finance, Innovation Finance, Global Business Planning, and Geography Finance.
Job Requirements:
- Strong enthusiasm and passion for the Nike brand!
- Effective communication and presentation skills – proven ability to synthesize complex situations into impactful insights
- Strong leadership ability and understanding/application of managerial concepts and techniques in areas such as project/change management, idea creation, and cross-team effectiveness
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with emphasis in finance; MBA is a plus but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, strategic planning, investment analysis, economic profit analysis, accounting and/or budgeting at a Fortune 500 company
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficiency with tools such as Tableau is a plus
