Job Description:

Adult Social Care are currently seeking to employ appropriately qualified AMHP Social Workers to join the Community Mental Health Teams across Powys. Applications from individuals who have or are working with people experiencing mental health issues and those who are qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) would meet the varying demands of the service. An additional payment of £3000 per annum is paid to AMHPs who work within the daytime rota to meet the Council’s statutory requirement in respect of Mental Health Act Assessments. Staff within the CMHTs are co-located with Health Board colleagues. Powys offers specialist training and opportunities for personal development. It operates a supportive AMHP service with access to legal advice and peer support. We have an accessible line management structure that supports you in being the best you can be. The council also offers a generous relocation package subject to specified conditions and this is available on request.
