Job Responsibilities:

• Navigating the implications for Primark of new legislation and technology innovation
• Acting as an ambassador for Primark’s legal team and actively contributing to the ongoing success of the Primark business
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across a range of business functions, including retail, technology, marketing, finance, people & culture and supply chain, to support, guide and protect Primark’s business
• Effectively collaborating with outside law firms when needed and coordinating advice for a non-legal audience. Managing timelines and budgets for this as required
• Leading the drafting and negotiation on key commercial contracts
• Advising on regulatory and compliance matters across borders
• Delivering high quality and timely legal advice to get the best outcome both legally and commercially
• Supporting strategic commercial initiatives, new business development and new territory launches
• Supporting our Primark Cares, sustainability and corporate social responsibility programmes

Job Requirements:

• Excellent academics and legal experience relevant to Primark’s business
• 3 – 5 years of relevant law firm or in-house PQE
• Experience coordinating and managing large projects and contributing to their success
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills with knowledge of other areas such as, consumer law, marketing, licensing, logistics and data protection
